January 26, 2015

hello everyone!,

well this has been a hard working week!! this week we had president interviews and some training on how we should be planning for things. everything went very well and sister To'o and i are excited to see the blessings that are going to come from everything we learned. We found out that there used to be two ward here but now there is only 1 so we have decided that we are going to make a second ward:) hahaha we have to drive, we have the motivation now we are going to work hard and trust that the lord will bless us for it and help our dreams come to life:)

tomorrow we have a funeral for this less active and sister To'o and i have the privilege of singing at it!! hahaha also im going to ask if sister To'o and i can give a talk in church so that the members can get to know us a little more and trust us:) the ward here is very nice but i really want to get to know them and see what i can do to help them.

the weither here has been pretty nice! somedays its REALLY cold and other days its perfect! saturday was a great day and sister To'o and i went and rode our bikes! that day we contacted 26 people and im excited to go back and see the miracles we see as we teach these people:)

sorry theres nothing to exciting to write about this week! and we were so busy that i didnt have time to take pictures but hopefully it will be better next week!! we are teaching this little boy named michael leDuex and he has a date to be baptized febuary 21st so hopefully everything will go as planned!! i love you all! thank you for your prayers and love for you! yall are the best!! yep.... i said yall..... im trying really hard to speak the language here:) haha

louisiana

this was my last zone:).... i miss all of them!!! now im out in the country and i dont see any missionaries!!:(
me and my baby from my king cake!

sister To'o

hey yall!!

hahah so i am now in Louisiana, and in the white hand book it talks about how we need to talk in our mission language so im trying really hard to say yall and fixen and fina but we will see how long this lasts!! hahaha

so this week was transfers, the day before was pday and the missionaries were playing basketball and the ball was in the air and i tried to catch it or something but instead it just nicked my finger. so of course my finger starts hurting so i ask sister Crump to kiss it better but it that didnt help at all:( the rest of the day my finger was just swelling up and getting all bruised and so at transfer meeting i asked to doctor what was wrong with it and he told my that i sprang my finger and that i tore so ligaments... yep so i just had to be really careful with it and not play any sports that have balls with them for the next couple of weeks... ahahah

then i found out that i was supposed to be in a trio and that i was supposed to be training this visa waiter but in the end she got her visa and so im not in a trio luckily!! haha

now Louisiana.... what can i say, the area has been lacking and everything was very disorganized here but luckly my companion sister To'o (shes poly and she is from las vegas) was nice enough to let me organize everything and there arent a lot of people that we are teaching but thats ok because we have faith that we are going to see a lot of miracles and baptize the world!!! hahaha the ward here is nothing like huffman but i can see a lot of potential for the ward and i have a lot that i learned in huffman that i think will help me gain the trust of the members here:)

i havent had any weird food yet down here except the other day i had this thing called a king cake! so mardi gra is really big down here so everytime around madi gra they have this weird cake that is kind of like a cinnamin roll with frosting on top and inside of the cake there is this little baby of baby jesus! now who ever gets the baby has to buy the next king cake and so on and so forth! haha so i was really worried that i was going to get the baby! and guess what!? i got the baby!! haahah yep but the good thing is, is that who ever gets the baby i guess also gets good luck! awesome huh!? haha

haha i hope you have a wonderful week full of miracles and blessings as you strive to follow jesus Christs example. i love you all! opps!! i mean i love yall so much! the church is true! tell your friends be an example all around you!

love, your favorite sister Turpin:)

transfers!!!

emily and billy got married at the stake center

billy, cody and olivia were baptized

michelle one of my favorite investigators ever!!

my ginger bread house that i made
heeeeeeeyyyy ya'll!!!!

sorry i still dont say ya'll yet but sooner or later i probably will:) so this week has been CRAZY!!! so thrusday emily and billy got married at the stake center and sister Crump and i were so lucky that we got to go:) then saturday was flush calls and good thing is that we arent getting flushed then saturday billy, cody and olivia were baptized and the service was amazing!! so many people came that we had to go to the chapel to hold everyone and the spirit was so strong! one funny thing.

when cody went in the water to get baptized he slipped right before he went under water and so he yelled really loud and it was the funnest things ever!! hahah then sunday all three got confirmed and when had an investigator michelle at church. And if anyone know me i love michelle to death!! like we will be best friends forever! thats how much a love her!:)

and on top of the wedding and the baptism this week i was sick and so sister Crump was so nice to let me sleep infor a littly bit on tuesday and then we had to go to family history training with all of our zone and while we were there the lady made all of the missionaries stand up and say who there recent converts were and which ones had become less active. when it was sister Crumps and I's turn which we were the last the lady asked if who had become less active who were recent converts and it was so funny because none of our converts are less active so we were like.... "none" hahah and the lady was so shocked! she then asked us how we did it and we just told her how our ward is so good at fellowshipping people and making them feel loved.
then sister Crump got really sick after me and i think i gave it to her which is really sad and then saturday night we got the call and i am getting transfered... im sad to leave but i feel like my work here is done. and i feel as though i am on to new and better things and its alright because sister Crump and i went out on a bang:)

well i love you all! i will tell you all where my new area is at and who my new companion is next week but untill then just remember how much god loves you and how you are a child of god.

love, sister Turpin
